The word Education is derived from the Latin word "educare" which means to bring up. Basically education is an attempt to develop the man. It also means modification of behavior. Education is the instrument for character building. God makes man but education makes him a civilized man. Education generates rationality, discipline, manners and humanity in human beings. Education is the soul of a society, which never dies and passes from one generation to another. Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one. As vaccination is essential to prevent the generation of a disease in a child in the same way Education is the vaccine to stop the uncivilized and violent ideas in human mind. Education plays a vital role in preparing a child so that he or she can adapt himself or herself according to the changing and highly competitive environment. While highlighting the various aspects of education and the numerous functions of education in the modern era , professional education is at the top most position. In order to achieve excellence and proficiency, professional education is the call of the day. Unless and until one is professionally educated , he cann’t stand the test of the time.
Real education should consist of drawing the goodness and the best out of our own students. What better books can there be than the book of humanity?"

St. soldier Educational society came into existence in 1958 when Mrs. Shanta Chopra, the president of the society realized that education would play a key role in the building of our nation. She started it with a single school. By the dint of her incessant hard work, unstinted dedication, single minded devotion to duty & of course, with the grace of almighty the little one sapling of 1958 sprew & grew into mighty tree having 38 branches of schools & colleges.

The foundation stone of St. Soldier Management & Technical Institute was laid by honorable justice S.P. Kurdukar. Judge of Supreme Court of India on 3^rd October, 1998 .

It started its working in 1999 under the able and excellent guidance of Mr. Anil Chopra, Chairman of St. Soldier educational Society – gifted with rare administrative skills, matchless organizing ability and extraordinary brilliance and Dr. (Retd Col) R.K. Khanna- a capable & eminent educationist.

St. Soldier Mgmt & Tech. Instt. is situated in the heart of Jalandhar city with all the available modern facilities. The institute is running MBA and MCA Our First Batch of MCA Passed out in May 2005 and May 2004 respectively securing all First divisions and in subsequent batches there are more than 80% First divisions.
